Southern Water has announced a £42 million investment programme aimed at improving wastewater infrastructure, reducing sewage spills, and strengthening sewer systems across the Folkestone and Hythe region in Kent.
The project will continue until 2030 and includes upgrades to wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and ageing sewer networks to improve operational efficiency and environmental protection.

- £7.5 million dedicated to sewer sealing projects in Elham, Lyminge, and Peene
- £7.6 million set aside for Sellinge Wastewater Treatment Works upgrades
- Additional projects planned in Lydd and Brooklands
- Pumping station improvements proposed for Range Road, West Hythe, and Folkestone Junction
